I was passing along a street at Independence layout in Enugu and met these shops just recently demolished, obviously by the state or local government. I think its right to remove illegal structures from defacing the state capital, but are these guys thinking of the number of people they just rendered jobless? There should be a human face to governance.
This is Lagos street Enugu, this street is an important artery road linking the inner side of Independence layout to Ogui road via Oloko gate axis. Old houses are quickly being replaced by newer buildings spreading especially from Independence layout side of the road. Enjoy the pictures.
