The window blinds or the good old curtains for your Nigerian house?

We are witnessing an increasing of Nigerian buildings being finished with window blinds as against the curtains for out windows. A lot of people are starting to think that window blinds are cheaper, easier to maintain and are more durable than the curtain. Would you consider using window blinds instead of curtains for your houses in Nigeria?
