Building houses in Nigeria comes with a great deal of challenges, not only with the operational environment but by the dearth of skilled building artisans that can contribute in bringing a building plan to real life. Many a times we have seen horrible jobs done in building sites which could almost make the owner of a house to regret the product of the work. Most Nigerian workers are so much in a hurry to complete a job and thus collect the balance of their money that they make glaring mistakes hoping their supervisors will not notice. But this is the job a good supervisor is hired to do, to stop poorly skilled workers from making a mess of the work on site.
If you have seen wall surfaces of many houses built in Nigeria, the surfaces are so rough that sometimes it spoils the beauty of the house, even the paintwork. Maybe this is why so many people are opting to screed their walls before painting.
In my organisation, Tigerkenn homes Ltd, we are always making efforts to bring out the best of building finishes after the construction stage. We have workers from both inside and outside Nigeria working on our wall surfaces and cutting all kinds of designs like the ones shown below. We have so many designs to sample, so many workers with fresh new ideas.
