There lies the carcass of Enugu coal mines
This is the remains of the once busy Onyeama coal mines of Enugu. This was a large company founded by the Europeans around 1910 and sustained till Nigeria's independence. There were roads built, rails constructed and living quarters built to support the business of coal mining which used to be a big employer of labour. The company has now been left to rot even as many mining graduates are left unemployed. Talk about refusal to use our God's given resources.
