Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi after one year
After a year in office, we should at least be seeing the direction of an elected government. In a country reputed to be mired in serious misrule, which translates to bad policies as seen from the living conditions of the masses, the people of Enugu state should start asking questions early. We are mindful of the plans to start construction of several listed projects from almost all the local government areas but this there are some areas that need a lot more attention than the others.
There has not been any government presence in towns like Nomeh unateze in Nkanu east local government area since the inception of the civilian administration 16 years ago, I hope the governor is aware of this.

nice one sir spyder but note that their are thousands of such town in enugu state and considering the little monthly allocation to the state, it can not cover the whole town at a stretch, the governor to me is active, prompt payment of workers, a number of good quality road works doh with open drainage system and again a little attention to nsukka. Enugu has grown and should not be a one town state and nsukka from my perspective can fill that void of being the number two state, thanks.

ReplyDeleteWe have heard this for 40 straight years in Nomeh Unateze, at first the excuse was the military governors who does not know where Nomeh . Then the excuse changed after the advent of civilian rule in 1999, the excuse was a lack of funds to do all the roads in the state due to the meagre budget of the state.
DeleteWe had this lean income and yet Chimaroke developed the whole of Nkanu west and Agbani, he also selected a lot of other towns to do projects and conveniently left out Nomeh Unateze even after allocating the money for the roads twice in his yearly budgets. This is a Chimaroke Nnamani who lived a lot of his early life in Nomeh. Do you know that prior to the civil war, and even all through the war, Chimaroke Nnamani lived with his parents in Nomeh.
Then Sullivan became governor, and the same lean purse of Enugu state prevented him from doing even one single project in Nkanu east as a whole, and Nomeh Unateze in particular. But this lack of funds was forgotten when it came to Udi roads, which was well tarred to all the streams and farmlands, there was money for Udi roads and others and no money For Nome roads.
And Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi became governor, and there is still a lack of money to build infrastructure in Enugu state, the lack of funds is not preventing Ugwuanyi from building Nsukka urban roads!
What a way to demonstrate good governance over a people!
