This is how we make window hoods in Nigeria, we use a cement/sand mixture to do a cast on some sand which we have arranged on flat ground. Then we use a specially carved flat form to run the cement mixture till it looks like the image in the third picture attached.
A lot of skill surely goes into making the perfect home. I wonder when someone will finally figure a way to mass produce these and have ready made pieces used for edges. The way PVC pipes come in various sizes and have the curved pieces for corners and bends.
