Blocks of flats offer mid level renters, who constitute the bulk of the nation's population the service they need to house their families.
There are many other forms of housing units available in the country, like bungalows, duplexes and low cost rooms for rent, both landlords and renters seem to pre fare blocks of flats. This is why there are so many of these buildings springing up in most cities in this country.

Why build blocks of flats?

Without those buildings, many Nigerians will live in ghettos & shanties made from cardboard and zinc in the quest to live in cities. Since not everyone can afford the few expensive duplexes available for renting.
