Meniru street Enugu working to clear their drains
In what might seem to be an attempt by residents to better their living conditions, residents of Meniru street, located in Awkunanaw area of Enugu capital gathered to unblock the portion of their drainage channel where water has been flowing above the gutters and along the road.
This is the type of work we want to see every part of the state engage in, if residents don't gather and take ownership of the work and maintenance of their infrastructure, they may not have it repaired if it totally spoils. The same community will suffer the results of a blocked drain/damaged road.
We hereby thank the people of Meniru street for their thoughtfulness.
