The soakaway system in a house consists of those items in the house built to make the removal of toilet waste easy and possible. The soakaway has a pit as its main component, but there is also a system of pipes, chambers and drains leading to the pit. The construction of this soakaway system is to be given good attention as it has led to the discomfort of many occupants of a house. This soakaway pictured is being built in Enugu, in oir next editions, I will bring in a story of a difficult soakaway system I built in Port Harcourt. The difficulty was the water logged area.
